Welcome to the Island Corfu and the beautiful resort of Paleocastritsa, probably the most picturesque of all Corfu and the perfect choice for your holiday. 

The resort is centrally situated on the North West Coast of Corfu  and is spread out over 3 kms of the most amazing coastline where the dramatic mountains and olive groves sweep down to the crystal clear sea.  There are numerous beaches offering safe bathing, excellent snorkelling, boat trips around the caves, self-drive motorboats, watersports or of course, just lazy sunbathing.  All of the bays are either pebble or a mixture or sand and pebbles and the main bay of St. Spiridon is a blue flag beach with lifeguard, changing rooms and fresh water showers.

The name ‘Paleocastritsa’ is taken from the Greek for ‘old castle’ which refers to the 16th century ‘Angelocastro’ whose ruins overhang the resort. The area is especially good for people who enjoy walking with many footpaths, from gentle strolls through the olive groves to long hikes up the mountain and into the local villages.  Another place you must visit during your stay is the 13th century monastery of our Lady the Virgin Mary, on the hill overlooking the main beaches where the Orthodox monks are happy to pose with tourists and you are welcome to join their prayer service in the opulent church each evening.

Tavernas and bars are spread throughout the resort offering a mixed and varied nightlife ranging from romantic quiet bars on the waters edge  to disco bars offering dancing until the early hours.  Local supermarkets are well-stocked and colourful souvenir shops are plentiful throughout the resort, all open until 9 pm  -  7 days a week.  You should also visit ‘La Grotta’, well worth the 142 step descent down to a natural blue lagoon with steps cut into the rocks down to the sea, excellent for swimming and snorkelling and enjoying a drink chilling out on the decked  area next to the sea.
